One of the most common parts to fail on any exhaust system is the flexi link that allows the exhaust manifold and down pipe to be less rigid and flex as the engine moves, this prolongs the life of the rest of the exhaust system. The K Series Lotus Elise, Exige and 340R are also prone to the flexi section breaking. PTP are now able to supply the flexi part of the Janspeed 4-2-1 manifold separately.  

 

PTP have always supplied a standard replacement down pipe for the S1 and S2 Elise, this comes complete with the flexi section. Due to the popularity of the 4-2-1 Manifold that was originally fitted to the Lotus Exige, 340R, Elise Sport 190 and has also been retro-fitted to S1 and S2 Elises, we are now seeing a number of the link pipe flexi sections breaking up and for this reason we are pleased to announce that you can purchase the link pipe separately from the from the 4-2-1 Manifold, as with all of these products the link pipe is manufactured from stainless steel.
