The MIL* eliminator is used when fitting a Sports Cat or De-Cat to the vehicle. It is designed to make the ECU think that the correct emission levels are exiting the Catalytic converter.
If incorrect exhaust emission levels are exiting the catalytic converter the ECU thinks that the catalytic converter has failed and lets the driver know that there is a problem with the vehicle by turning a light on the dashboard called the MIL* light. The MIL* eliminator connects to the second lambda sensor to turn off the Malfunction Indicator Lamp also known as Check Engine Light.
The MIL* Eliminator was originally used for Vehicles with the K Series engine, but because of its unique and universal design the MIL* has also been used on various other manufactured vehicles** to stop the MIL* coming on
