Brand new original VHPD spec cams as used in the 1.8ltr S1
Exige, 340R and Elise Sport 190 VHPD engines.
Originally used in conjunction with
the Motor sport heads and later in PTP’s own Vulcan head, these cams have a
much higher lift with longer valve opening duration over the standard cams to
give a large increase in power and torque. Because of the nature of the cams
the drivability and idle will become more erratic and an aftermarket ECU is
recommended. These cams should be used with Mechanical tappets, as standard
hydraulic tappets are not suitable. The specs of the cams are as follows:
- Inlet Cam: 280 Duration/10.3mm Lift
- Exhaust Cam: 280 Duration/10.3mm Lift
